Personal
Fingers and Toes
November 07, 2011
Normally I never ever paint my fingernails because I have this awful habit where I will pick at chips and flakes until I end up peeling everything off. And I like to keep my nails super short anyway. But it's funny the things you get up to when you're doing everything BUT studying...so I decided to be uncharacteristically girly and pamper myself:
For the record, I used some Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish in a colour called "Buff" which was so watery and a nightmare to apply. Either it sucks, or I suck. Probably the latter as I own, like, 3 nail polishes.
And my tiny toes. Think it's L'Oreal Resist and Shine Titanium, not sure what colour (some black shimmery thing) but it is seriously the best one I have ever used.
And I also absentmindedly doodled a bird/phoenix/mangled peacock on myself after staring at a freckle on my ankle for 10 minutes.
Exciting life.
Anyway, sorry about the filler-ish nature of this post but I do have to put it out there that I feel so vulnerable after posting pictures of my appendages here. Aside from that, it's literally all I've done recently, just counting down the days till last exam (thanks for all the well wishes). And I have started taking pictures of all my meals; it's actually pretty interesting to record what I eat and makes me put more thought into composing meals (e.g a cup of 2 minute noodles doesn't exactly make for an exciting picture). But more on that later!

i felt a little weird the first time i posted up a photo of my feet too! no idea why, it's not like they're a very private body part or anything ;) either way, i enjoy both of the nail polish colours you used... i need to get me a shimmery new black for my toes x
ReplyDeleteI think black and dark polishes are best on short nails! It doesn't look so 'witchy' if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteI just finished scrolling through your first page of your blog and I LOVE it. Love it. I enjoyed looking at your "red" photos, the photos of the beach...everything. I drooled while looking at the food photos, and envied how clean your nails look (I'm one of those awful nail biters). Also, you're from SYDNEY! I traveled there six years ago and loved it; I often wish that I could go back. To visit, yes, but perhaps even to live. Thank you for sharing your wonderful journal!
ReplyDeleteMore than 100 followers already, well I´m not surprised at all! Besides I´m one of those who doesnt have a google account yet still reading all of your posts, so I´m sure there´s more of us than just a bit more than 100! xox

Damn, you're creative. Wish I could be more artsy like you. I would never have the patience to draw something so intricate.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, it's really hard to read your blog from my iPhone because the mobile version cuts off the pictures and when I try to pan to see the whole thing, it always switches to another post :(
Just sayin. Makes me sad.
Stunning! Love your nailpolish ♥

ReplyDelete@ Cindy; Dude that sucks; i lost my itouch and dont have an iphone so I don't really know what the mobile version looks like anymore BUT i checked the mobile template and i can't do anything about it or change it in anyway...so there goes that :(
So pretty! I LOVE that nail polish. It looks a lot like Essie's sugar daddy or mademoiselle ;)
ReplyDeletenail polish is a small addiction of mine. although, i'm terrible with applying it. I always have to ask someone to do it for me or suck it up and go to a nail salon. Anyway, I love the black on the toes- black is always so classy to me!
ReplyDeletethat black looks so cool

I have painted my nails a couple times but not that much coz they always end up looking really messy. It's weird, I can paint other people's nails but I can never paint mine. Oh and you call that a doodle?! Omg! You are good.
ReplyDeleteI love that natural blush color for nails!!! Also, I suck at putting on nail polish... how do you girls put it on so cleanly?! GAH

I just put on black nailpolish on my toes and fingernails! Black goes well if you combine with a nice outfit, I think ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm now officially following you:) I'd be glad if you check my recent posts.

I'm afraid the only thing I can relate to is keeping my nails short.
ReplyDeleteI've never used nail polish except after some coercion. That wasn't fun.
omgosh me toooo, I always pick at my nailpolish cos the texture feels so foreign on my nails. It never lasts more than a day :( Your collection beats mine- i have 2 haha. I bought this canary yellow one which matches everything and I planned to use forever but the first time Itried it it turned out so gloopy! and I kept thinking.. wow i suck so much at painting my nails.. but now I think maybe it was the polish itself D:
ReplyDeleteI'm listening!
