Or moderately unpleasant. I don't like to whine (shush) but my throat feels sore and raw, my nose is mildly runny and it feels like some densely packed, luke-warm cotton wool has replaced my brain. Whatever this feeling is...go away! :(

Due to my ill health, I was unable to drag my weak and pathetic body to the city to meet up with some Chums (i seriously tried not to capitalize but it looked weird), incl. the newly arrived Jess. Newly arrived because she newly arrived in Sydney from her Korea trip...not newly arrived as in a newly arrived, new new chum or whatever...why am I talking...

Anyway, boo. Spent pretty much the whole day:
   1. in bed
   2. being pitiful
   3. eating icecream

R and I went to a Michael Buble concert today (don't laugh) and despite hysterical, middle-aged women making up most of the audience demographic, it was a really good performance! Buble is fantastic live...such a smooth sexy voice....as if you don't melt into a puddle of helplessness at his sultry tones... But other than that, he actually is genuinely charming and funny... not that I know him personally or anything.

Day who-knows-what of dreary weather, uneventful, stayed at home. Don't know why I even bother telling you this. Was supposed to go to ash's house, looked outside and decided no freaking way...most amusing thing today was refreshing her new blog page 10 times and seeing the layout and design change every single time. Just goes to show how exciting our lives are :P

Plus, the whole concept of a celestial love is enough to melt me into a girly puddle. I guess now I'm just waiting for an all-encompassing love, assigned to me by some higher power of destiny, a love which transcends all gravitational and logical bounds and reaches the sheer power and vastness of the known and unknown universe. A love which craps on the other stars because of its immeasurable magnitude.

It would be cool if there was some quirky reason why this thing is named WE MAKE PLANS but it was just because every vaguely cool name has already been taken. Also some unpleasant person took annie.blogspot.com, seriously look at the page and tell me you dont want to send her hate mail for wasting space. Actually it comes from some Bloc Party song lyric (Plans?) so there really isn't a 'we' here, and nor do I like to make plans at all... I feel very self-conscious talking to myself heh but Silent Alarm is a pretty damn good album! Atmospheric and sheer sounding, sparse but filling at the same time. It reminds me of what it feels like to go for a run on a really cold morning feeling very dreary but glad that you're completely alone. I'm sure if i actually got off my butt and did that it would feel exactly like that...I wonder if one day I will look back on this and shudder at my music taste?

A comfortable day today, spent mostly with R. Too hot to do anything substantial but hey we all love lazy days, where the most strenuous thing you do is rolling over in bed to a cooler patch to resume another nap ;P

Why is it that the first instance that my access to money is cut off, I actually panic...about not having money? Considering I don't need to spend on anything right now. I actually can't believe how hard it feels to survive without my keycard which I swear is in my house somewhere but seeing as I can't find it it probably isnt... Whatever...I can totally survive on $5 for the next WEEK uhh.

Anyway, went back to NSG today to collect yearbook and contrary to my expectation I did not feel waves of nostalgia for my schooldays, but instead a "i'm so over wearing knee-high socks...and having a knee-high sock tan". We just see it all a bit differently now, so I guess i'm not going back there for a long, long time.


Onto brighter things, I hung out with some of the Chums (oh yeah capitalisation) including kt who just came back from Asia trip. Was sooo good to just see their faces, even though ash's face when I saw her today was initially very stormy (you know that face when she squints at you and scrunches up her face....I think it's meant to be a death-glare) because I was half-an-hour late or something.*** 

Anyway, we just sat and chatted about uni, life, kt's trip, and the general gossip which constitutes our conversations. Can't wait for all the other ones to come back from their trips because I'm telling you, when we talk...we really talk...for extremely extended periods of time. Though maybe it felt so extended because I was uber hungry. But this hunger will be no more because of the cookbook I bought today and my soon- to-be cooking skills!

Had dinner with R at some korean place, played a bit of pool- using the term 'played' very loosely here- then went home because I suddenly felt super tired and non-inclined to hit balls into holes (don't snicker). Why am I telling you this...though that reminds me, we saw True Grit yesterday. It sucks. Which reminds me again, I think we've seen about 20 movies this holidays...and even though some have been laughably crappy, the blow of a shitty movie is softened by the fact that he's suffering through it next to me :)

All in all, despite the fact that I have about 35 cents in my wallet now, the day was super pleasant. Thank you, lovely people in my life. :) x10000


***(Seriously though, if you are reading this, I HAVE A REASON; I was incredibly sick this morning, as in I woke up to very sharp stomach pains :( so obviously I lay in bed much like an invalid, waiting for the pains to subside. Which is why I missed the train.)

Today I am feeling super liberated because...I passed my driving test YEAH!! While I was chewing my fingers waiting for my name to be called I overhead an instructor 'advising' (i really mean shouting in an uber-slow do-you-speak-english way) a hopeful about all the reasons why he failed.

"...do you understand that you cant do that? It is ILLEGAL, ok?! Also you ran the red light..."

So you can imagine I almost shat my pants when I thought about the walk of defeated shame I would have to go through if I had failed BUT I guess my dad's "unique" training methods (including drawing on my mirrors to aid reverse parking lol) paid off :)

The yoga dvd I ordered also came in the mail yesterday so I did my first session today...I realise now it is way harder than it looks. But apparently I am on my way to "spiritual enlightenment and a whole new way of life" according to Shilpa Shetty, so there we go! I mean, at least I get to use my sleeping mat from Duke of Ed again...

Just feeling overly content right now, especially now that I FINALLY finished putting the uni timetable together a few nights ago, after harassing student services and faculty services and changing electives 3 times just because classes clashed -.- Though its completely my fault for doing it late...but at least my enrollment is absolutely, undeniably, completely DONE.

I'm happy :)
