My hand, this morning.
This is what happens when your bike hits a too-high curb and you go flying because you were too busy trying to avoid being hit by a car. In the five minutes that I got very intimate with the pavement, I reflected intelligently on 2 things:
1. Lucky I didn't get hit by the car...
2. R is right- I am the biggest klutz ever.
Then I rolled over and started groaning and swearing profusely. Classy.

In addition to multiple other minor scrapes and bruises, I now have this small bruise right on my cheekbone where it kissed the pavement so it looks like I have a permanent blush. Which explains why I applied blush to my other cheek this morning...

The lesson I learned, and which you should too: Wear a helmet every time because one day you're not going to be so lucky and you may end up with way worse than a zombie-looking hand.
